Pacquiao vs Margarito Fight: Arum expects to sell 60,000 to 70,000 tickets

We are now counting weeks to watch Pacquiao vs Margarito fight. Recently, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is looking forward that Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito fight card will sell between 60,000 and 70,000 tickets. The tickets are now on sale which was started last September 18 and Arum said that they’re going fast.

The most anticipated match up will be taking place at the Cowboys Stadium, in Arlington, Texas which the same site where Pacquiao did his last battle in March against Joshua Clottey. That fight sold more than 50,000 tickets which are already amazing featuring none American boxers in the main event. Those good numbers are really awesome given that Clottey had no real fan base and is less famous and I am pretty sure that fans were coming almost exclusively to see Pacquiao. Even though the previous fight of Pacquiao was a card stacked with Hispanic fighters in hopes of drawing spectators from the surrounding Mexican communities but still, it’s likely that the majority of the fans that showed up came to see Manny Pacquiao.

The November 13th card will have these fights on the undercard:

Guillermo Rigondeaux vs. Ricardo Cordoba
Kelly Pavlik vs. Bryan Vera
Mike Jones vs. Jesus Soto Karass
Robert Marroquin vs. TBA
Richie Mepranum vs. Anthony Villarreal
Jose Benavidez vs. Winston Mathis
Joe Hanks vs. TBA
Mike Lee vs. Keith Debow

Now, can this be a big help in getting much of the ticket sales? It will be hard to tell how much its fighters will bring every fans they have specially in the neighboring communities. But one thing for sure, they be there to watch Pacquiao vs Margarito fight Live and cheer for whoever fighter they love to yell.
